Ayurveda is a 5,000 year old holistic science that offers a profound way of understanding the world around us and how to live in balance with it. Ayurveda teaches a unique approach to health and wellbeing that recognizes each individual’s specific needs to stay happy, healthy and vibrant. 

Ayurveda places great emphasis on prevention and encourages the maintenance of one’s health through close attention to the balance in one’s life, right thinking, diet, lifestyle and the use of herbs. Ultimately, it is a science based on personal responsibility and Ayurvedic philosophy teaches us that we are responsible for creating our lives as well as our health. 

Though Ayurvedic medicine is also used to treat illness, ideally it is used to prevent disease by tuning into to nature and subtle changes through life By focusing mainly on lifestyle changes such as when, how and what we eat, when and how we sleep, how we exercise and when and how we perform our daily activities, we find more ease day to day.
